The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund has published the conditions and criteria for co-financing the energy renovation of family houses on its website. As much as 120 million euros will be available to citizens in 2024. The maximum amount of incentives will be 62,120 euros per application. 

Activities that are co-financed are: 

A1 – complete energy renovation, which includes increasing the thermal protection of the elements of the outer shell of the heated space through the implementation of at least one of the measures on the outer shell of the family house and the installation of technical systems for the use of renewable energy sources 

A2 – increasing the thermal protection of the elements of the outer shell of the heated space through the implementation of at least one of the measures on the outer shell of the family house 

​A3 – installation of technical heating/cooling systems and preparation of hot water using renewable energy sources  

A4 – installation of technical systems for the production of electricity using renewable energy sources for self-consumption. 

* Help during application to the Fund’s Public Call – the highest amount of justified cost is 250 euros, and it is co-financed with 60 or 80%, depending on whether the house was damaged in an earthquake. 

Owners and co-owners whose houses have up to 600 m2 and/or up to three residential units and more than 50% of the area intended for living can apply for co-financing of energy renovation measures. At the same time, the condition for co-financing is that the applicants have residence in that house, proper ownership, and adequate proof that the house is completely legal. 

For houses damaged in the earthquake, it will be possible to receive up to 80% of acceptable investment costs, while all other owners of family houses (who meet the criteria of the Public Call) can count on up to 60% co-financing. 

Submission of applications will begin on the day of publication of the public call for energy renovation of family houses, and no later than the end of February 2024. Citizens will submit their applications electronically, using the NIAS system, and the link to the electronic service, as well as instructions for users with all associated application forms, will be available as part of the call documentation.
