A new report from the crOss renoHome project has been published, providing an overview of a B2B event focused on connecting the business and financial sectors with key stakeholders involved in energy renovation in Croatia.
The event was held as part of the GBC Connect Forum, the national B2B platform of the Green Building Council Croatia, from 21 to 23 April 2026 in Šibenik. The Forum brought together representatives of the business and financial sectors, public institutions, industry, professional organisations, energy agencies and other stakeholders involved in the development of the building renovation market.
From Renovation Financing to New Business Opportunities
The Forum programme covered a range of topics relevant to accelerating energy renovation – from financial instruments and co-financing opportunities to the renovation of multi-apartment buildings, ESCO models, indoor environmental quality, CO₂ emissions reduction and the development of green skills in the construction sector.
Particular emphasis was placed on available financing opportunities for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Financial instruments provided by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund were presented, while the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development presented new financial instruments and programmes for businesses. Discussions also addressed financing for the renovation of multi-apartment buildings, including the application of the ESCO model.
crOss renoHome – Connecting Property Owners, Professionals and the Market
One of the key parts of the programme was a presentation of the crOss renoHome digital one-stop shop, designed to support owners of single-family and multi-apartment buildings, while also connecting users with companies and professionals from the energy renovation sector.
The platform includes a directory of verified service providers, enabling users to find suitable professionals across a range of categories – from energy certification and project documentation to thermal insulation, window replacement, heat pumps, solar systems, electric vehicle chargers and energy management systems. Providers can be searched by county, further connecting supply and demand in the energy renovation market.

More Than 130 Organisations
During the three-day event, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and create opportunities for new partnerships and forms of cooperation through presentations, panel discussions, round tables and informal meetings.
The Forum brought together representatives of more than 130 organisations from the public, financial, business, energy and academic sectors. A particular value of the event was its direct connection of different parts of the energy renovation market – from contractors and financial institutions to public authorities and one-stop-shop centres.
Connecting Sectors Beyond the Event
The new report demonstrates how connecting the business and financial sectors with crOss renoHome tools and services can contribute to creating the conditions for a stronger and more organised energy renovation market in Croatia.
A particularly important outcome is the directory of verified service providers, which remains available after the event and continues to serve as a channel connecting property owners with energy renovation service providers.
The published report therefore provides an overview of the activities, participants and outcomes of the B2B event and confirms the importance of cooperation between the business, financial and public sectors in the further development of building energy renovation in Croatia.
