Great interest in building energy renovation: 565 proposals worth €371 million received

The Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction, and State Assets has secured substantial funding of €94,235,322.37 for co-financing the preparation of project documentation and the energy renovation of multi-residential buildings, both undamaged and those damaged in the 2020 earthquakes. This program covers the areas of the City of Zagreb, Krapina-Zagorje County, Zagreb County, Sisak-Moslavina County, and Karlovac County.

The public call for project applications was open from March 29 to June 3, 2024. During this period, a total of 565 project proposals were submitted, amounting to over €371 million, which is nearly 394% of the allocated funds. The average value of energy renovation per building is approximately €656,637.

The co-financing rate varies depending on the type of activity: project documentation preparation, project management, and administration are co-financed between 85% and 100%, while energy renovation is financed between 60% and 80%. The co-financing rate for promotion and visibility is fixed at 85%.

For comparison, in a similar public call for building energy renovation in 2022, based on 105 signed contracts, the average renovation value per building was €675,702.
