Workshop Held at KLIK for Submitting Expressions of Interest for the Public Call on Energy Renovation of Homes

An informational and advisory workshop for citizens interested in applying to the Public Call for Expressions of Interest for financing the energy renovation of family homes for energy-poor households, i.e., vulnerable groups, implemented by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (FZOEU), was held yesterday at the KLIK premises in Križevci.

Participants received detailed information about the call as well as administrative support in preparing and submitting their applications. The KLIK team assisted citizens in completing documentation, checking ownership and technical documents, calculating household monthly income, and assessing overall monthly expenses (loans, education, transportation, etc.). Support was also provided for preparing the required photo documentation.

A valid expression of interest requires submitting photographs of the entire house, the heating system, and all parts of the property that require renovation. The photos must clearly show all facades and elements indicating the need for intervention, such as damaged roofing, damp walls, floors and foundations, rot, or mold. In addition to photo documentation, an expression of interest must include a completed questionnaire, a signed applicant statement, and proof that the house was built in accordance with the Building Act.

All documents are available on the official website of the Fund. The deadline for submitting applications is 31 May 2025 at 23:59. Documentation may be submitted:
● by mail
● by e-mail to en.siromastvo2025@fzoeu.hr
● in person at the Fund’s reception office (Radnička cesta 80, on working days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

Who is considered an energy-poor household?

According to the legal definition, an energy-poor household is one that does not have access to the basic energy services required for a dignified life and the preservation of health. This includes the ability to adequately heat and cool the home, supply hot water, provide lighting, and power
essential household appliances. The causes may include insufficient income, high energy costs, or poor energy efficiency of the house.

What happens after submitting an expression of interest?

Based on the collected data, the FZOEU will open a public call for the energy renovation of family homes at the end of the year. Households that meet the criteria for energy poverty will be able to apply. Since the criteria have not yet been published, citizens will learn them only once the public
call is announced.

KLIK, together with project partners crOss renoHome and DOOR, will promptly inform citizens as soon as the call is opened.
