The second workshop was held at KLIK on expressing interest in energy renovation of homes

Given the high level of interest and the need for an additional session, KLIK organized another workshop in Križevci on expressing interest in applying to the public call for energy renovation for citizens at risk of energy poverty.

The workshop was held on May 26, 2025, at 5 PM. Participants received detailed information about the call as well as administrative support in
preparing and submitting applications. The KLIK team assisted citizens with completing the documentation, checking ownership and technical documentation, calculating household monthly income, and assessing total monthly expenses (loans, education costs, transportation, etc.). Assistance was also provided in preparing the required photo documentation.

The deadline for submitting applications is May 31, 2025, at 23:59. Documentation can be submitted:

  • by mail
  • by e-mail to en.siromastvo2025@fzoeu.hr
  • in person at the Fund’s reception office (Radnička cesta 80, on working days from 9 AM to 3 PM).

Who is considered an energy-poor household?

According to the legal definition, an energy-poor household is one that does not have access to the basic energy services necessary for a dignified life and health protection. This includes adequate
heating, cooling, hot water supply, lighting, and powering essential household appliances. Causes may include insufficient income, high energy costs, or poor energy efficiency of the home.

Since the criteria for the public call are still unknown (they will be determined based on the information collected through expressions of interest), and we do not yet know when it will open, we invite all those planning to apply to start gathering the documentation known to have been
required in previous years, so they can be as prepared as possible when the public call finally opens.

1. Check ownership, legality of the house, and household status.
Prepare the land registry extract, occupancy permit (or construction permit if you do not
have the occupancy permit), and proof of residence (MUP certificate).
2. Documentation on energy renovation.
In previous years, an energy performance certificate for the house (or at least an energy
performance study) was required.
Recommendation: Contact an authorized energy certifier to obtain the certificate as quickly as possible (if required).
3. Technical conditions.
The house must be functional (not dilapidated). Possible works that the Fund will co-finance at 100% include:
o thermal insulation of the building envelope (facade, roof, floor)
o window and door replacement

Recommendation: If you plan to renovate multiple elements, prepare a priority
plan—identify where the greatest energy losses occur (e.g., windows/doors or roof).

4. Social criteria
We do not yet know what criteria the Fund will prescribe, but prepare proof of social status
and certificates of household income for 2024 (tax documentation).
Energy poverty is proven by status as a recipient of social assistance or guaranteed minimum benefits (according to HZMO or CZSS), so prepare any certificates you have.

Once the public call is open, we will inform citizens through all crOss renoHome channels.
