Presentation on New Public Calls for Co-Financing of Solar Power Plants Held at the Zagreb Energy Centre

An informative presentation for citizens was held at the Zagreb Energy Centre, introducing the new public calls of the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund for the co-financing of solar power plants on family houses.

Participants received a detailed overview of the eligibility criteria, required documentation, and practical steps needed to successfully implement their own solar system. Special attention was given to citizens who installed solar systems in 2024 or 2025, as they can now apply for partial reimbursement of their investment costs.

The presentation highlighted the many benefits of investing in renewable energy sources, including lower electricity bills and increased household energy independence.

Following the presentation, individual consultations were held, allowing citizens to discuss their specific situations and receive tailored expert advice for their properties.

Citizen Support through the crOss renoHome Project

This activity is part of the crOss renoHome – One-stop-shop for Citizen Home Renovation project, implemented in cooperation with the Society for Sustainable Development Design (DOOR).

The project aims to provide all key information and expert support in one place, making it easier for citizens to decide on energy renovation of their homes.

At the Zagreb Energy Centre, citizens can get advice on:
• the process of home energy renovation
• available financing options and eligibility criteria
• technical documentation and administrative procedures
• opportunities for using renewable energy sources such as solar systems
• selecting materials and contractors, and planning optimal renovation measures

Energy renovation not only helps reduce energy costs, but also improves living comfort, enhances health, and contributes to climate change mitigation.

The Zagreb Energy Centre partnered with Cross renoHome thus serves as an important partner and support hub for households in their transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
