CrOss renoHome in action – OSS Križevci: We advised and prepared documentation for co-financing photovoltaic systems in family houses in 2023

Project LIFE cross RenoHome, although it has only just begun but has already conducted initial consultations for citizens applying for the Call for co-financing photovoltaic systems in family houses published by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (FZOEU).

According to information from the cross renoHome partners, KLIK and their Energy-Climate Office in Križevci, which has already established a “turnkey” solution for photovoltaic systems, only three consultations have been held. One of the reasons for the low number of consultations was that the call for proposals was open only for already installed photovoltaic plants in 2023. However, this call and citizens’ interest have certainly served to promote the opening of the One Stop Shop (OSS) among citizens who will be involved in consulting and preparing documentation for comprehensive building renovations.

A special co-financing program was aimed at installing photovoltaic plants, in accordance with the provisions of the Law implementing Council Regulation (EU) 2022/1854 on urgent measures to address high energy prices. The aim of the program was to encourage the widest possible application of solar energy systems for electricity production, which has multiple benefits – both for users and for achieving national goals regarding the share of renewable energy sources in total consumption.

The program, worth 12,425,000 euros, was intended to co-finance the installation of photovoltaic plants for electricity production for own consumption on the roofs of existing family houses or on existing auxiliary buildings adjacent to the family house, with the minimum useful effect of installed photovoltaic modules being at least 18%.

Non-repayable funds were available exclusively for plants that were installed and put into operation during 2023 (from January 1), and they ranged up to a maximum of 50% of the justified project costs, or up to 600 euros per kW of installed photovoltaic plant nominal power.

The public call was open until December 31, 2023, and further funding for the installation of RES systems is also planned for 2024, as part of the Energy Renovation Program for Family Houses worth 120 million euros.
